Flesh excites me. Flesh inspires me, feeds me and guides me. I have been in love with bodies and our emerging spirits since I can remember feeling love. The more integrated my heart, my intellect and my flesh are, the happier and wiser I am. This strong conviction has led me to my work and play as an educator, artist, ritualist, writer, activist, performer and pioneer in the Arts of Flesh.
My offer is of artistic wellness. Radical, self-defined wellness. I aspire to use everything within my hands reach to heal myself, my community, the world, and direct each breath I take towards enlightenment. To this end, my practice is made up of body/breath/spirit exploration in a range of forms: Yoga, moving meditation, visual art, writing, dancing, ritualized body modification rites, magick, radical love and sacred sexuality, western herbalism and Ayurveda, hands on body/energy work, nutrition and a general practice of self care and reflection, personally and communally.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in art, and many certifications in health and wellness, including the highest level teacher certification in yoga. Tibetan, Wiccan, Native American shamanic rites, Nordic and Celtic magickal traditions in addition to Buddhist Vipassana meditation and medical training have formally influenced my background. My experience participating, creating and leading ritual for the last 15 years has brought me a wealth of insight and enthusiasm for using our flesh to evolve. When we are comfortable in our own skin, power flourishes!
I formed Arts of Flesh to incorporate all these modalities. To me, these arts are an obvious alchemy of practice, and dedication to unearthing the wisdom and realization that dwell within our heartflesh, our hands, and our whole beings.
